Telling stories in visuals.
Always a Little Red hat.

In the Meantime
Its been a whirlwind year.
While building the Little Red Hat, I rebuilt my brand, introduced the Little Red Hat Chronicles, expanded my knowledge base, and redefined who I am as an artist, designer, and photographer in this ever-growing digital spaDigital media opened doors I didn’t expect. I started learning entry-level Java, diving deeper into code and CSS, and exploring website design across platforms like GoDaddy, WordPress, Joomla, Figma, and Framer.

Oddly enough, that mindset started showing up everywhere else in my life too.
Whether it was sitting for hours trying to get CSS and HTML to override Joomla properly so I could finally build something my way, or learning how analytics, timing, and presentation completely change the way people interact with content, I started seeing problems differently. Less resistance. More adaptation.
The development of app ideas pushed this even further. I’ve been building prototypes that visualize systems in ways that expanded how I think as a creator—moving beyond color, typography, and layout into user experience, audience needs, and solving problems in a more thoughtful way.
At the same time, I’ve continued expanding my photography and learning more about my strengths and weaknesses behind the camera.
I’ve taken some incredible photos this year, but what I appreciate most isn’t perfection—it’s the ability to capture real moments as they happen.
Whether I’m photographing the energy of a band on stage, someone lost in a dance floor, a moment on a football field, or even a candid second during a birthday celebration, I’ve realized photography is storytelling grounded in real life.
That perspective has pushed me beyond major events and into everyday moments too. A walk to clear my head, live music, a night out dancing, coffee, conversation, movement, atmosphere—I’ve started to appreciate the art in all of it.
Professionally, I stepped into a completely new chapter as an IT & Communications Specialist within a Police Department. In a short amount of time, I helped double social media engagement and began developing systems that drive visibility and interaction through photography, video, scheduling strategy, and design.
What surprised me most was seeing how differently content performs when strategy, timing, and presentation all start working together in real time. My background in marketing and communications gave me the foundation, but actively applying analytics, scheduling, animation, and stronger visual storytelling completely changed the way I approached content. Small adjustments started creating noticeable shifts—not just online, but internally too.
That process also pushed me to want to learn more—especially in areas like motion graphics, animation, video editing, and digital storytelling. At the same time, I’ve realized how much more comfortable I’ve become expressing myself through writing. The Little Red Hat Chronicles started as a creative outlet, but over time they became a way to reflect, process experiences, and express myself more honestly through writing.
When people started saying, “Wait… our social media is starting to look fancy,” there was a quiet sense of pride in that. Not because it was flashy, but because it meant the work was connecting.
The blue team has been supportive of where I’m going creatively and professionally, and honestly, that support has only added more fuel to keep growing.
When I look back now,
I see how much has changed.
I see someone who stopped trying to fit neatly into one lane and started embracing the
overlap between storytelling, design, communications, photography, and digital media. And for the first time in a long time, I genuinely feel excited about where that road
might lead next.
